Puerto Plata: Within the framework of the start of the “School Holidays” season, the junior baseball leagues carry out different activities where they encourage children to practice sports to occupy their time doing activities that help them develop in a safe environment.
Many of these leagues do not have the necessary equipment to complete the objectives involved in participating in the tournaments of the baseball leagues of this category that are held both in the province of Puerto Plata and in different regions of the country. One of these is the Ambioris Santos baseball league, a junior league that takes place in the “Gran Parada” area of the municipality of Yásica Arriba.
Seeing the situation that these future players of the higher leagues carry, Mr. Wander Tejada, coordinator and presenter of the seminar program ”The Way to Happiness” surprised the members of the team by delivering a baseball kit, with the aim of stimulating children to perform better during the league and do not stop practicing this sport due to lack of equipment.
Cultura Viva Foundation joined as a collaborator of the league that started this summer season and in which it participates along with other teams from nearby communities in different activities of youth baseball tournaments.
During the award ceremony, where the representative and coordinator was special guest, Wander Tejada endorsed its support for this league and announced that it is fully available to continue supporting to continue the development of the season that is played every weekend in an alternative way in the different communities of the community.
For their part, the directors of the league thanked the willingness and support that Cultura Viva Foundation has provided to the Ambioris Santos league since last season with the educational seminaries of ”The Way to Happiness” and in this one that is added again.
